Two More Pounds

Even after eating way more than I should over the fourth of July holiday, I was able to drop another two pounds. I know it's not much, but it's much better than gaining weight, so I'm not complaining. I have to give credit to the best weight loss pills ever. They keep me from being too hungry and eating way more than I should.

Want Muscles?

My nephew wants a Kettlebell for his birthday. I didn't have a clue what this was until a few days ago. He is really into working out and building his muscles. After checking them out, then I realized this is a product I wouldn't mind having for myself. In fact, I think when I order his then I might just order one for myself. I'll let you know how I like it.

My Sister-in-law Needs a Lawyer

I have been helping my sister-in-law research lawyers online. I know there is probably nothing better than word of mouth, but since I don't live in the same state and she does, then researching online is my only option. She is in need of a Rochester personal injury lawyer since her accident last month. I know situations like these are hard, but I want to help her all I can. Actually, the internet seems to be giving me tons of info and there are more reviews than I realized there would be.

Vegas is a Good Sign

I caught my husband this morning looking around at some Vegas hotels rates. I think that is a good sign that he may be thinking about planning a trip for the two of us. He knows how much I love to go to Vegas, and he also knows how I have been wanting to get out of this house for a few days. What better way to enjoy it than in Vegas? Keep your fingers crossed that he finds something reasonable.

Diets are Hard

Everyone who has ever went on a diet know they can be challenging. For some people, it is just too difficult to do with the help of a diet pill. I, luckily, have only got about five or ten pounds to lose. I'm not far from reaching my goal, but it is getting harder ever day. My toughest issue is staying out of fast food restaurants. It is so convenient to go hit a drive-thru when the hubby is out of town. But then again, when he is home then we usually have big cooked meals at home. I can't win for losing!

There is Always Help Available

A close friend of mine living in Florida just called the other day and was talking about having her son in drug rehab. I am so proud of him, but I know it is the best thing for him. He has had this problem for many years and now has come to the realization he has it. I truly believe that when someone realizes they have drug addiction, then they are more than likely going to be able to get over it. The first step in recover is knowing you have a problem and admitting it. I tried to encourage my friend and told her I was thinking and praying for her son everyday. It is going to be a long road, but I have faith it is something that they will overcome.

My Husband is Headed to California, Again

Well my husband has to head back out to California again for business. This is the second time in less than a month. The first time he went, he wasn't too pleased with the hotel he stayed at and I am now investigating some other hotels in los angeles. Nothing is worse than going to a city your not familiar with and finding out you booked a room in a hotel your not pleased with.

I decided to try a hotel search online. The last time I basically called a chain hotel and booked a room that way. But looking online I will be able to compare the prices and see pictures of where he will be staying. I want to find some affordable, yet something that he will be happy with the atmosphere. He's not extremely picky, but he does like to stay somewhere that is nice. Wish me luck!

I Only Need to Lose 10 More Pounds

I am so excited that I have lost a few pounds, however, I do need to get rid of about 10 more. I want to be able to fit into all of my summer clothes and the warm weather is getting here so fast. I've decided to look around for some appetite suppressants to help me out with this problem. I figure if I can curb this appetite of mine then I would lose a couple more pounds. I know I can do it, but it sure is nice when you find something to help you in the process.

What a Girl Wants

What girl doesn't love jewelry? I know it's one of my favorite gifts of all time. My brother-in-law called me the other day wanted to know what he should buy for his wife's anniversary. I ask him if he had thought of any type of jewelry. He said, "yes," but didn't know what kind to get. He was asking if I would keep my eyes open on something she might would like. The only problem with that is I usually find something I would like to have for myself. The things we do for people..lol

My husband and I have been thinking about mortgage protection insurance for quite some time now. We both feel as if it would be a great asset to have. Trying to Find a Special Sink

My husband has been working on another house for the past two weeks and has been trying to find an undermount sink for the laundry room. He now has me doing some searching. Nothing is worse than trying to locate a item you know nothing about. Although, I do enjoy the shopping. It is good mental pass time for me. Helps me to relax. It also lets me see products that I didn't know exist, but also causes me to want them for myself.

A Night Out of Town

We had to go out of town for a night because of my husband's business. We ended up staying at Westgate, which was fine by me. I really enjoy when we stay there. It is a top-notch place and extremely clean. Each time I have stayed in one, I couldn't have ask for better service. Have you ever stayed at Westgate?

I'm Sad Today

My neighbors are really moving and it's not much longer. I really hate to see them go because they have been the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for. I went to visit her this morning and she was calling around getting moving quotes. That is when it really hit me that they will no longer be right next door.

I know that Memphis is only four hours away, but it's not like I can just pop in any day during the week. I am going to miss them so much, and even more so this summer. We use to grill out together at least two or three times a month. We just kind of had our own food and put it all together. It was so nice sitting out on the patio and not having to worry about driving home. We would just walk back and forth to our houses and we needed anything. I am truly going to miss them both and wish them the best in all they do.

Speaking of Diets

Since my last post, I was just thinking about the diet situation and wondering if anyone has ever tried a colon cleanse and how well did it work? I had a friend say that I should do this if I was trying to diet. However, she didn't give me any info to back up her theory. Is this something I should consider and how well does it speed up the process for loosing weight?

Diet Progress

I have been having pretty good luck with my diet progress. I know it isn't but about 15 pounds that I want to lose, but that's still a lot to me. I can honestly say I am very proud of how I handled my eating situation this past week. In fact, we ate three meals out and I still maintained my calorie intake, so that is wonderful in my book. I just hope this next week is just as good.

Helping Our Neighbors Move

We just found out a couple of days ago that our neighbors are going to be moving in about three weeks. I really hate to hear this because they have been such wonderful people living near us. Although, we do understand that sometimes you just have to do whatever it is for your company you work for. I am also excited for them and told them I would love to help them move if they needed my help. She told me that the only thing she had left was getting the truck rental lined up. I figure in a couple of days she will realize she can use some help when it comes to packing. I've moved before and it can be a huge job to do alone.

A Must Have

Before I do very much planning for our next vacation, we must have some new luggage. My favorite brand is Samsonite luggage. I have used this kind for many years and it seems to last longer than any I have purchased. I am going to see what kind of deals I can find today and try to order us some for our next trip. The hardest part is trying to decide which set will work the best for us. I love it all and it's so tempting to always buy more than what I need.

A New Puppy

I finally decided on a puppy and I am so pleased with the one I got. It is an Imperial Shih-Tzu. The Imperial ones are the smaller Shih-Tzus. We named her Sydney, and I have to give credit to my husband for picking out that name. We both thought of some names and then decided on this one. She is just a doll. We actually got her when she was almost 8 weeks old, but now she is 10 weeks and weighs a whole 26 ounces. The vet told me I would be lucky if she reaches her mothers weight, which was 4 pounds. I just love her to death. The only problem we have been having thus far is her getting strangled or choked when she drinks water. She tries to sneeze it all back out, but it is very scarey to watch her gasping for breath. I did purchase a hamster water feeder for her to lick the water from and it is much better. She still gets choked sometimes even with this, but I'm not sure what else to try.

Our Favorite Type of Vacation

Every since my husband and I have been together, we both agree that cruises are our favorite type of vacation. We have been on several, and I don't think we will ever get tired of them. Our favorite time of year to go on a cruise is during the winter months. It really nice to get away from the cold weather and sit back and enjoy the sun. If you have never been on a cruise, then you are definitely missing out on a lot of fun. Nothing is better than the food and entertainment, not to mention just a nice time of relaxation. All this talk about cruises makes me want to look into going on another one.

Plum Trees

My husband has it stuck in his head that he would like to grow some Plum trees. I don't think he has a clue about what he is going to do. We are lucky to get any kind of tree to grow, much less a fruit tree. I don't think he has ever planted or grew a fruit tree. But I guess, it's time to learn. Don't get me wrong, I love plums, but I would like to know more about growing them before we actually try it. Now, I'm off on a search to see if I can find any info about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Starting Fresh on Monday

Even though this is not the first day of the month, I have to set some goals for myself. I am going to work much harder this month and I have tons of things I want to accomplish. One of them being writing more articles. I have fell behind on this for the past couple of months, so it's time to get something done. I've had a nice little break, so I can't complain. Now the next big issue is my diet. I am going to get even more strict with it starting tomorrow. I don't plan on over eating today, but I have always found Mondays to be a good starting point. Sometimes I wish life could be just a little more simpler. A friend of mine just informed me she is looking into nursing vocational colleges. Why can't I ever have anything exciting to tell someone?

My Husband and His Gold

My husband has this theory about Gold. For one thing, who doesn't like gold? Just about everyone does. He has this in his head that he should keep all the gold he can get his hands on. He seems to think it will be a nice thing to have for his retirement.

He has all sorts of gold coins and gold nuggets. His portfolio is quite unbelievable. I admire someone who can turn a hobby into money. On top of that, I hope to benefit from his precious hobby as well. So, I shouldn't complain, I should be happy his hobby consist of something to help our future!

Planning a Wedding

Never in a millions years did I think I would be helping my niece plan her wedding. I am so excited for her! We have been working on finding all the wedding apparel and then we are going to work toward decorations. We both agree that what you wear is probably the most important thing.

We have quickly found out that finding the perfect wedding dress is not all their is to planning. We have had a hard time finding bridal shoes. She wants something that is comfortable as well as stunning. I told her this weekend we will sit down and look through all the bridal shoes online and make a decision. I know this is important to her, so I want to do a good job in helping her with this wedding.

Leaving the life here in the country, for a trip....

We have decided to plan a trip. Travel Alaska is something my family has always wanted to do. So, that means I am sitting here today looking at Alaska Travel plans for our upcoming trip. I didn't realize there are so many things to do and see. It's almost overwhelming.

My husband wants to visit Denali Park, and my daughter don't really know what all she wants to see yet. I can already tell you, it will be way more than we are capable of fitting into one trip. She is the type of person that wants to see everything. I am going to tell her she can pick two different places and then my husband and I will do the same. I think that is only fair. If we do this, then we will have visited six different locations. That is about all our time and budget will be able to handle. Any ideas of what we should see?

One More Day

Well tomorrow is finally going to be April. I was hoping for a little 2 or 3 day getaway this month since it is our one year anniversary. Now that my husband is loaded down with his work, it's not looking promising. I hate to go away and be thinking of all the things that need to be done back at home. You end up ruining your entire trip and I know that is exactly what he would be doing. So, I'm praying he will get caught up and we can take a small break. Wish us luck!

What's Wrong with My Memory

I have the worse time now remembering things. I don't know what's happening. Everyone tells me it comes with age, but I'm not so sure about this time. I'm in my mid thirties, so I shouldn't be having this problem just yet. I think it has something to do with too much on my plate. I am constantly writing sticky notes and trying to keep up with everything I have to do. It seems the list never ends. If I could slow down just a bit, then I would probably not have such a memory issue. What do you think?

Planting a Garden

We finally got some of our plants in the garden last week. For all of my readers, you already know this is our first year for a "real" garden. It is approximately 50 feet square. I'm extremely excited about growing our own vegetables this year. I have to admit, it doesn't thrill me too much about tending to the garden, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
